Straight up crying happy tears over here. It still amazes me every day how lifechanging the 21 Day Meal Plan is—for myself and for so many others. Getting to hear about your successes—on the scale and off—I am just blown away and so incredibly happy, proud, and thankful!
Check out Kristen’s amazing, inspiring story below:
I got married when I was 16 and together we had 3 children. We hit a rough patch in 2012, and that’s when I started really binge eating everything I could. My anxiety started when I was 22, so I’ve been battling that for 13 years now. I’ve been a stay at home mom for all of our marriage. That’s very tough!
I finally went to the doctor in 2014 and got on 4 anxiety, panic disorder, and depression meds. It was awful. The side effects were horrible but way better than the constant panic attacks and anxiety. All 4 of those meds said the main side effect was weight gain—great. And, I just kept eating as well. I’m a little person, 5’1” and pear shaped. All my weight goes to the lower half of me but recently was starting to go to my tummy, arms, and face.
We booked a trip to Colorado in September, and I knew we were going to be hiking the Rockies. I was terrified. I couldn’t even walk up the stairs in my house without being winded and my heart feeling as if it was going to explode out of my chest. I knew then that I had to do something.
A friend of mine sent me some information about the 21 Day Meal Plan™ and I thought, “Yeah, okay, just another fad diet.” But seriously, what did I have to lose? So, I bought it. From August 9th to September 4th, I lost 17 lbs! I was like holy cow! I was still on my meds, but I was so happy! I could breathe, I could interact with my kids, and the biggest thing was I could ride the motorcycle with my husband again. That made it all worth it.
I went to my 3-month checkup with my doctor and he was like, “Wow, what have you done?” So, I told him all about the plan. He said my levels were down (I was pre-diabetes at that point), and I asked him if I could start tapering off my meds and see how it went. (He approved of the meal plan, by the way.)
I started tapering off my meds, and today I am med free! I don’t have any anxiety and my panic attacks are few and far between. I was having at least 5 a week and now I might have 1 every couple of months. It is amazing to me that this happened for me just by changing the way I eat. I never thought I’d see the day that I was pill free and panic free. This makes me cry just typing it, because anxiety is HORRIBLE. Panic attacks are worse. You feel like you’re dying and nothing can be done. It affected my relationship with my husband and kids drastically. I am so happy my friend sent me the information for the plan. She’s a life saver and I am dead serious about that. I know in my heart I wouldn’t have gone on much longer living like I was in constant fear.
Tiffany saved my life and there is nothing in this world that I could do or offer her that would ever be able to pay her back. She gave me life again and restored my relationships. I hope what I’ve shared helps someone else who feels like they’re at rock bottom and there’s no way out. I hope Tiffany can continue what she’s doing—I need her in my life. The group, Instagram, all of it motivates me every single day. Thank you. <3
