Megan’s 21 Day Meal Plan Success Story—with PCOS!

Megan (@meggylosing) decided it was time to make a change and really commit to it—and she did just that with the 21 Day Meal Plan! Read on for her inspiring story in her own words:

It happened! 100 pounds lost in 6 months. It wasn’t easy, but it was WORTH IT.

A little bit about how I got here: I have always struggled with my weight, but I really gained during my first pregnancy, 10 years ago. I lost a few pounds and gained them back over and over for the next 6 years. Then, I gained even more weight over the course of two more pregnancies. During that time, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Hypothyroidism. I was put on medications for both of those but unfortunately continued gaining weight.

I tried every diet under the sun…Keto, Atkins, Trim Healthy Mama, the Daniel Plan, Weight Watchers… You name it, and I probably tried it. With all of these plans, I would lose about 5 lbs, stop losing, become discouraged, and give up.

Six short months ago, I told my husband I was DONE with feeling so bad. I had no energy, acne, an aching back and joints, plantar fasciitis, my hair was falling out, and those were just the physical problems I was experiencing. I decided to look into a diet specifically for people with PCOS and give it 100%. I did a lot of reading and found that people with PCOS should really limit their carbs, gluten, processed foods, sugar, and dairy (and for some of these, eliminate them completely). I found the 21 Day Meal Plan and saw that it lined up with how I should be eating. I started it and began exercising, thinking it would be like all the other failed attempts.

Here we are 6 months later and 100 pounds lost! I still cannot believe it.

I have so much more energy, my skin has improved so much, my plantar fasciitis is gone, my joints aren’t achy anymore, the eczema that had been on my arms for as long as I can remember is gone, and my mental health greatly improved, too! I am SO thankful. I had prayed for YEARS for my health to improve. Today, I am thanking Him! And, thank you to Tiffany for creating this plan—it changed my life. <3
