Why I Am Dairy Free

I started working out at home 30 mins a day and did this for about 2 weeks. As far as diet went, I only went gluten free and nothing else. I know I have an allergy to gluten so I figured I would start there to not make it too hard on myself. I weighed myself at the end of the 2 weeks and I gained 2 pounds. I was super upset because those workouts were crazy difficult and I was so proud of myself for doing them and looking forward to seeing a drop, not a gain! Then I thought, you know what I have to eat better so I decided to do the Ketogenic (low carb) diet. I did this for 2 weeks and gained 2 more pounds! I felt like I was failing so bad and I started telling everyone around me that it was hopeless and I must need medication because SOMETHING was wrong with my body. I thought about it and talked to people for countless hours and no one really could help me. Some people said I was gaining muscle and that did not resonate with me AT ALL. Not THAT much muscle in that small amount of time. Then it hit me like a train, IT WAS DAIRY! I wasn’t a big milk drinker but I LOVED cheese. Cheese makes everything better, right?! Not only that but then I used cream in my coffee, a lot of cream and multiple coffees a day. So then I decided to 100% eliminate dairy and gluten and the weight completely fell off. It was super exciting to watch that happen! So I dedicated myself hard core to 30 min workouts 5 days a week and no gluten, dairy or cane sugar. I lost 20-30 pounds in a few months time. 🙂
