They’re loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that our bodies need to stay healthy. And unfortunately, unless you like taking a handful of capsules and tablets every day (I know I don’t!), it’s really tough to get those essential vitamins and minerals into your body without eating vegetables regularly.

Thankfully, there is a solution—a Greens supplement! This is a formula made with powdered green veggies that you simply mix with water and drink. Super easy and fast.

Which veggies would you hope to find in your Greens supplement?

Spinach

An excellent source of many vitamins and minerals, spinach is especially high in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K1, folic acid, iron, calcium, and more. Being so nutrient-rich, spinach can help strengthen bones while also helping to protect against things like heart disease and various cancers. It’s also high in fiber, which is good for your gut health and staying regular (aka, not constipated)!

Spirulina

A type of blue-green algae, spirulina is one of the most nutritious foods out there. It contains protein, antioxidants, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, and manganese, as well as small amounts of nearly every other nutrient the body needs. It can lower bad cholesterol, while raising good cholesterol. It’s been shown to possibly help protect against heart disease and cancers, as well as lower blood pressure, control blood sugar, fight anemia, improve muscle strength and endurance, and more!

Broccoli

A nutritional powerhouse, broccoli is loaded with fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, and potent antioxidants, including vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin B9, potassium, phosphorous, selenium, and more. It helps with a ton of different things, including reducing inflammation, protecting against cancer, aiding in blood sugar control, slowing the aging process both physically and mentally, and supporting and promoting heart, gut, brain, immune, bone, skin, and dental health!

Chlorella

Another nutrient-dense algae, chlorella is 50-60% protein and a complete protein source, containing all nine essential amino acids. It can also be a good source of iron, vitamin C, vitamin B12, antioxidants, and omega-3s, as well as small amounts of magnesium, zinc, copper, potassium, calcium, folic acid, and other B vitamins. It’s been shown in studies to help the body detox by binding to heavy metals and other toxins. And, it may bolster immune function, improve cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, improve blood sugar levels, manage respiratory diseases, improve eye and liver health, and so much more!

Wheatgrass

You’ve probably seen wheatgrass shots offered at juice and smoothie places—that’s because it can be super good for you! An excellent source of a variety of vitamins and minerals, it’s particularly high in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, chlorophyll, antioxidants, iron, magnesium, calcium, and amino acids. In fact, of the 17 amino acids it contains, 8 of them are essential and can only be gotten through food. It can help reduce cholesterol, kill cancer cells, regulate blood sugar, alleviate inflammation, promote weight loss, and more! And, it’s generally considered safe for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, since the grass of the wheat kernel doesn’t contain gluten, only the seeds do.

Barley Grass

Barley grass is rich in vitamins A, C, and B, as well as iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorous. Similar to wheat grass, it’s very high in absorbable protein, containing 20 amino acids, which includes 8 of the essential ones that our bodies are unable to produce themselves. It’s also high in enzymes, chlorophyll, and antioxidants! Because of all this, it’s been shown to strengthen the immune system, increase energy, aid digestion, help with constipation, alkalize the body, and improve the health of hair, skin, and nails. It’s apparently essential for removing heavy metals and toxins, and it can help with arthritis, headaches, asthma, fatigue, gut health, cancer, and diabetes.

Kale

Kale is king of the super healthy green vegetables out there, loaded with important nutrients for our bodies. It’s one of the best sources of vitamin C and vitamin K, as well as vitamin A, vitamin B6, manganese, calcium, copper, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, powerful antioxidants, and vitamin B1, B2, and B3. It can help lower bad cholesterol, reduce the risk of heart disease, fight cancer, supports eye health, supports weight loss, and so much more.

Parsley

A powerful, disease-fighting plant, parsley provides a lot of great nutritional value and offers many potential health benefits. It’s loaded with vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, potassium, and powerful antioxidants, and it appears to be particularly good for bone health, fighting cancer, protecting against various diseases, and supporting heart and eye health. It even has antibacterial properties!
