What Kind of Sausage for Tiffany Plate? How to Cook them for the Best Crunch!

One of the most common questions I get is: “What kind of sausage for Tiffany Plate?”
My go-to is fully cooked pork sausage, especially Neiman Ranch Apple Gouda or the Good & Gather Smoked Gouda Chicken Sausage from Target. I air fry it at 400°F for 6 minutes to get that perfect Tiffany-style crunch — golden on the outside, juicy inside. So easy, so good.

Why Chicken or Pork Sausage?

I love using chicken sausage because it’s:

  • ✅ Fully cooked (no raw meat mess)

  • ✅ High in protein

  • ✅ Packed with flavor (think apple, gouda, smoked)

  • Crisps up perfectly in the air fryer

You get that caramelized crunch in minutes — it’s honestly better than pan-searing.

My Favorite Sausage Brands

When I’m home:

  • 🥇 Neiman Ranch Apple Gouda Pork Sausage – hands-down my favorite

  • 🥈 Good & Gather Smoked Gouda Chicken Sausage – always at Target and always reliable

Both are fully cooked and sear up perfectly crunchy in the air fryer — which is essential for the texture of a Tiffany Plate.

How to Cook It for Best Crunch

🔥 Air Fry at 400°F for 6 minutes
Slice your sausage into coins and toss them into the air fryer. No oil needed. In 6 minutes, they’ll be:

  • Crispy on the edges

  • Juicy inside

  • Loaded with flavor

That crispy bite is what brings The Tiffany Plate to life — it’s not just about taste, it’s about texture.

Where to Find Them

🛒 Neiman Ranch – Available at Whole Foods, Sprouts, and some natural grocery stores
🛒 Good & Gather – Available in the refrigerated sausage section at Target

Look for fully cooked options with minimal ingredients and no added sugar.

Can I Use Other Sausage?

Totally. If you can’t find these, here’s what to look for:

  • Fully cooked chicken sausage

  • Flavors like smoked gouda, apple, garlic herb

  • Clean ingredients, low sugar

  • Crunchy when air fried

Stay away from breakfast sausage or anything raw — it’s a whole different thing.

Final Thoughts

The Tiffany Plate is about real food, real quick — and sausage is the fastest way to add bold flavor and protein. Just remember:

Air fry. 400 degrees. 6 minutes.
That’s your new ritual. 😄

And if you haven’t tried these two yet — grab a pack on your next Target or Whole Foods run. Trust me, it changes everything.

Much love,
Tiffany
